ASPHALT, MASTIC ASPHALT WITH TERRAZZO APPEARANCE

Mastic asphalt is a screed based on bitumen, chippings, rock dust and sand and is used, for example, as a building material and also for thermal insulation and footfall sound insulation when renovating old buildings. It has a rapid setting time which reduces the building duration.
As flooring, it is used in animal husbandry, residential properties, offices and public buildings. It is laid as exposed screed and its appearance refined through grinding and polishing. Mastic asphalt floors are seamless, provide thermal insulation and are easy to care for.
Through peeling and grinding with special diamonds, the grain structure is exposed in several grinding operations until a terrazzo appearance is achieved. A satin-matt or high-gloss surface is created, depending on the number of grinding operations.
